Two new staff have joined the team at Lerwick-based NB Communication as the company continues to expand.

Head of Content Marketing Adam Civico and digital marketing executive Dom Gall are the new recruits.

Mr Civico was formerly editor at The Shetland Times and made the move after more than eight years at the award-winning newspaper.

He will be working alongside managing director David Nicol on the Promote Shetland contract, which is operated by the firm, and with NB Communication’s broader client base.

Mr Civico said: “I am really excited to join NB Communication which has a great reputation, and I am looking forward to developing new contacts and working in a different sector.

“There is a lot of work under way, and I’m thrilled to be able to get straight into it with the rest of the team here.”

Meanwhile, Mr Gall will take on responsibility for working with many of NB’s existing clients. He is a marketing and communication professional, specialising in content creation and social media management.

He has a background in sports marketing, having previously worked with basketballscotland, GB Basketball and Paddy Power.

"Getting the opportunity to return to an agency with NB has been fantastic and I have been delighted to already be involved with some unique new campaigns for our clients.

"The team has established some great relationships with several industry-leading clients and I am excited to add my experience and develop these projects wherever I can."

NB Communication was founded in 2002 and is based at the Stewart Building in Lerwick where it has recently moved into bigger offices. Among its 20-strong staff team are employees working across the UK, with Mr Gall one of those on the mainland.

The agency has expertise in website development, e-commerce and digital marketing, plus a specialist destination marketing team which focuses on remote, rural and island locations
