Now in its third year, DataFest will showcase Scotland's leading role in data science and artificial intelligence on the international stage, while offering an unprecedented networking platform where you can interact with local and international talent, industry, academia and data enthusiasts.

There will be fringe events across Scotland exploring, hacking and debating data innovation. Events can include meetups, hackathons, debates, workshops, training programmes and any innovative activities focused on data innovation.

The Data Lab, one of Scotland House’s members and a partner of DataFest19, helped launched the festival yesterday in Inverness. The Data Lab will be holding a series of events over the next few weeks, including: “Evolution of Data Blending and Smart Collaborations in Fintech”, “Data in Construction” and “How Do We Inspire the Next Generation of Data Scientists?”.

DataFest19 will culminate in a two-day Date Summit (21 & 22 March) in Edinburgh – an international conference presenting compelling stories on data driven innovation with keynotes, panels, pitches and lots of inspiration.

The Data Summit was created to bring together data leaders and practitioners across industry, the public sector and academia with the belief that bringing these communities together to collaborate is a key ingredient towards data driven innovation.

Attendees can learn from the experience of those who have succeeded (and failed) with data through sessions on how to lead successful programmes to communicating with data, compelling examples of transformation to future trends and much more.
